今天我读了一本美国的书,这本书的作者是美国杰出的作家、著名记者、幽默大师马克吐温,而且这本书是他最负盛名的小说,这本书的名字叫《百万英镑》。

《百万英镑》一书中讲述了一对兄弟借给一个没有钱的人一百万英镑。故事就这么发生了,这个没有钱的人开始时被人们瞧不起,走到哪都被人嫌弃。自从有了这张百万英镑,人们开始对他非常热情,而且为了拉拢他,让他免费吃、免费住,更甚至,还有人给他钱。最后,他有了三百万英镑,而且还娶到了一个好老婆,也找到了一个好工作。

看了这本书,我觉得书中的人物以钱当别人的脸,钱多就拼命的拉拢;没钱就瞧不起,连看都不看一眼。而在我们现实生活中,这种现象也是存在的,有些人为了想得到钱而拼命的拉拢别人,想从别人身上得到他全部的金钱,甚至不惜做违法的事情,我觉得,这么做的人一定很坏,其最终结果是一分钱也不会得到,而且还会众叛亲离。

这是一本不错的小说,在看的过程中,让人发笑,可是,看后回顾一下,会发现其中所展现出来的社会环境充满了金钱的欲望。

这几天里我读了一本马克·吐温书这本书的名字叫:《百万英镑》。

这本书要讲得是一个人他到英国当时他是一个乞丐,当时他很饿,看见一个小男孩扔了一个面包,那个人要去捡,突然一个人过来了他不捡了,那个人走了,他继续捡那个面包,当快捡到面包的时候,突然房上有两个富豪叫那个乞丐,说年轻人请上来一下,乞丐上来之后两个富豪给了那个乞丐一封信,乞丐走之后,去一家饭馆,服务员看了一眼就让乞丐就让他做好久没擦的桌子,乞丐说:“为什么让我坐这么脏的桌子,”服务员说:“让你坐着就很不赖了。”乞丐拿起那封信打开当时让所有人惊动了,那信封里竟然是一百万英镑,老板赶快让乞丐坐上最好的位置,乞丐点的菜不用掏钱。乞丐有去了一家服装店,员工把乞丐叫到后台,给乞丐一件又窄又小的衣服,让他敢快走不要妨碍做生意,当乞丐出那一百万英镑是,服装店的老板看到了,马上接待这位乞丐,服装店的老板把郡王的.衣服给了那位乞丐,乞丐说:我用不用给钱老板说:不用给。
